Da Rezarekt has been selected to play the Red Gorilla Festival 2009 in Austin, TX. The band dicovered the Red Gorilla Festival (RGF) at the 2008 Dewey Beach Music Conference where the founder of the RGF, Brian Waymire, was on the panels. Da Rezarekt had the opportunity to have Brian see their explosive performance at The Rusty Rudder @ DBMC. Brian was highly impressed by their show and offered them to play the RGF in Austin, TX.

Also at the DBMC, Da Rezarekt caught the eye and ear of grammy award wining producer David Ivory. In early March, Da Rezarekt will enter the studio with David to work on a new material. The band is excited to work with Dave and to take the band to a higher level.

Brookline native Eli “Paperboy” Reed signed a major-label deal with Virgin Records.

Kill the Alarm makes Billboard Magazines Guide to Unsigned Bands.

Mutlu gets signed to Manhattan/EMI records. His debut release features such special guests as Darryl Hall, G-Love, and Amos Lee.

Shinedown adds 2 new guitar players. Both are DBMC past performers. (Zach Myers of Zach Myers Band) and Nick Perry (of Silvertide).

Colourslide wins "Song of the Year" award by John Lennon Songwritting Contest and is awared 20,000.00 and placed on back page ad in Billboard Magazine. They are coming from FL to do DBMC for the 2nd year and also performed at Popfest they love it here so much.

Days Difference, who played DBMC last year, have signed with Univeral Motown Records.

J.C. Anderson is currently on The Next GAC Star on GAC TV. They have narrowed it down to the final 6. He is a great new Country singer and came to Dewey from Nashville last year and won over a lot of people at the Rudder.

Big Congratulations to Jared Scharff on landing one of the world's BEST TV/Musician gigs- new guitar player for Saturday Night Live! He is the new guitarist w/the House band and you can watch him every Saturday night 11:30pm on NBC's classic "Saturday Night Live!"

Sharon Little will release her debut album, Perfect Time For A Breakdown, on May 27. Having just completed her album this week, Sharon has already been chosen by Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and T Bone Burnett to open 24 shows on their upcoming Raising Sand North American Tour, which kicks off April 19 in Louisville, Kentucky for five shows, before picking up again on June 2 for a month of dates, including stops in New York and Los Angeles.

The Underwater signs with Megaforce Records

The Kin, Cabin, Colourslide, An Early Ending, Jealousy Curve, The Underwater, Nikki Barr, Eli Paper Boy Reed, City Riots and Fools and Horses were all selected to play Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI (The Largest music festival in the world). Bands were selected by Summerfest organizers based on their showcases at this year's DBMC.

Cori Yarckin was picked to be one of MTV's "Under the Radar" artists on TRL April 16th.

Sparky's Flaw signs management with Red Light Management (O.A.R. Dave Matthews, Robert Randolph), and signs with Mercury Records.

Melody Gardot signed with Universal Records, and is currently on tour in the UK.

DEE's exciting electro-pop song “Miles ‘n Miles” is the soundtrack to the Ford Edge TV commercial and the Internet home page, http://www.fordvehicles.com/edge. Since its debut on the site in mid-October, the song and wallpaper have been downloaded more than 29,000 times.

Jonny Lives! appears on the soundtrack for National Lampoon's Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj. Also recently toured with Everclear, and performed on Conan O"Brien and CBS Early Morning Show.

Pawnshow Roses records at Sun Studios in Memphis. Special guests on the album are Lenesha Randolph and David Crosby (of Robert Randolph's band). Pawnshop met the two when the band was offered the opening slot for Robert Randolph & The Family Band at the Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach.

Jaymay - Spin Magazine Artist of the Day,
Spin Magaizne, SXSW '08 Pick! On Monday, March 10, 2008 Jaymay appeared on the TV-show Late Night With Conan O'Brien.

In 2007 Jaymay moved to London, after signing with Heavenly Records, which is distributed by the major EMI label.[4] Jaymay's debut album Autumn Fallin' album was released in the United States on March 11, 2008 on Blue Note Records

Casey Desmond wins $10,000 Grand Prize in the VISION4MUSIC song writing contest
Vision4Music.com's Valerie Baines and Jim Malatesta came up on stage while Casey was performing at the Dewey Beach music conference VIP party and surprised her with an Award and a check for $10,000 for her song Save Me Now leaving her stunned and speechless. She's also won studio time in Nashville and some online promotion tools as well.

The Crash Motive's song: "Not Giving Up" will be featured as a Theme to the Hit NBC TV show, Las Vegas, for the 2007-08 Season.

Amanda Kaletsky's song “Everything Lies” was featured on an episode of MTV's The Hills.

Catch Will Dailey performing "Rise" on The Early Show on the morning of October 17. Will's appearance on the show will mark his national TV debut, and will kick off a huge day for him that culminates in his appearance on CSI:NY later that night. See Will perform "Rise" in a very special episode of CSI:NY on Wednesday, October 17. He'll be performing in the show's climactic scene, so be sure to tune in!

Locksley was recently appeared on Conan Obrien on Aug 31st and has just been picked up to support Hanson on their new tour.

Fools & Horses were selected by Starbucks as one of the Nation's top up-and-coming bands, and were voted the Grand Prize Winner of Starbucks "Off the Clock" CD contest! They are now featured on a compilation throughout the US and Canada selling over 30,000 copies.

The Vicious Martinis sign to Gotham Records: After meeting at last year’s Dewey Beach Music Conference, Gotham Records is proud to announce the signing of Maryland’s own The Vicious Martinis. Composed of veteran musicians, their debut album will be available online on 8/14/07.

The Alternate Routes appeared on Late Night With Conan O'Brien on April 9th.

L.P. gets signed to Island Records
July 10, 2006 (New York, NY) – New York City based rocker, L.P. wowed a host of labels - with Island Records finally winning out by signing a multi-album deal after getting their socks knocked off at several scorching performances at the 2006 South by Southwest Music Conference.
Known for her wailing opera trained voice and nonstop touring, L.P. is taking a well deserved break from the road to write and record material for her forthcoming major label debut, with the release currently slated for Spring 2007.

The Alternate Routes signs record deal with Vanguard Records

Locksley was featured as Rolling Stone's top 25 bands of Myspace and Spin Magazine's Artist of the Day. He will be touring with The Killers.

DBMC and Popfest performer Ryan Star and Phil Ritchie from Lennex appeared on Rockstar Supernova.

Cori Yarkin appeared in Rolling Stone Magazine's October 19th issue.

Stealing December won the Zippo Hot Tour 2006.

Keyboard Magazine names Jodelle "Unsigned Artist of the Month" in the June issue on newsstands now. Keyboard Magazine has a readership which extends beyond the USA to over 70 countries. For those of you who wish to read the story and don't have a copy yet, you can read it HERE.

LOVEDRUG (Canton, OH) is currently on tour with Switchfoot.

HALESTORM is currently on tour with Shinedown, Seether and Flyleaf, as part of the Snowcore tour.

Three DBMC bands have opened concerts on Bon Jovi's Have a Nice Day tour, IKE, FOOLS & HORSES and CONDITION K.

THE ALTERNATE ROUTES' "Time Is A Runaway" was featured on MTV.com's Laguna Beach After Show (Episode 17). "Ordinary" has won for Best Song in the Pop/Rock Category in the 2006 Independent Music Awards. The panel of judges included artists Norah Jones, Chris Thile, George Clinton, Joe Perry, and Melissa Etheridge, as well as numerous music executives. "Ordinary" is now spinning on Boston radio station 92.9 WBOS.

FLOREZ'S song “Natalie” was recently heard on NBCs TV series Scrubs. They are currently on tour with Josh Kelley.

PAUL LEWIS' Trading Horror Stories! made the first round entry list for the Grammy's this year...6 nominations. "It can happen" & "Sometimes" from Trading Horror Stories! charted on the college charts, reaching as high as #5.

CHELSA IN ORBIT have signed to start up indie label 42 North

JANN KLOSE has a song in an upcoming Warner Bros. DVD called “Dead Broke”, featuring Paul Sorvino. The movie is being released April 18th, 2006 and will have Jann’s song “Black Box” playing over the credits. The DVD also includes music by David Byrne and Mahalia Jackson. Jann’s live video of “Walk Through The River” has been released into the file sharing networks through a campaign with Musicdish.com and Atlanta-based Intent Media. The video has received over 60.000 downloads since it’s release last November. Also, Jann’s song “It’s Not The Way” from his Black Box EP is getting significant airplay in Indonesia. It’s out on a Sampler Disc called “Prambors Radio Hits 3” in the region through a licensing deal with UK based indie label Gotham Records. This Spring Jann Klose and his band will be touring the New England states as well as the Midwest.

SHANE HINES & THE TRANCE have been added to 240 college radio stations in the US and Canada. MTV's Road Rules has licensed all eleven songs on Shane's latest album, Zoe.
